I met with Jimmy and I knew immediately after our first couple of sessions that this was going to put me in the right direction towards the healthy life that I wanted.  Having Jimmy challenge and encourage me every session I quickly became a stronger person.  Jimmy pushed me harder than I could ever push myself and kept me motivated at the same time.  Before I knew it I had lost 40 lbs and had gained a new confidence that I had never had.  Jimmy has given me the tools and knowledge I needed to change my lifestyle.  I now have more energy and confidence and actually look forward to exercising and eating healthy. – Kari F.

Before I started working with Jimmy, I didn’t understand how fitness and nutrition worked together. Keeping a food and exercise journal are habits that have been critical to my success.  In reviewing the journal, it is obvious the amount of variety and new exercises that Jimmy has taught me. I think that is the real strength of Jimmy – he keeps exercise new and entertaining. He is a great teacher because he really works to understand your personality and what techniques will make the client most successful. Jimmy is extremely knowledgeable and shares that expertise. You need to know that until I joined Lifestyle Family Fitness, I had never been to a gym, and never worked out. I don’t have an athletic bone in my body, and since I was a kid, stocky enough to have to wear what were then called “husky” sizes, I’ve always been somewhat ashamed of my physique. With this background, no one is more surprised than I am that I have stuck with my membership and with training. I have to say, I owe that to Jimmy, for he has coached and encouraged me – and yes, pushed me – in ways that never make me feel like a klutz. My initial goal was to trim down and to tone muscles, not so much for looks, but to improve my general stamina and wellbeing. I have had a love-hate affair with the gym going on 20 years. I love the results of a challenging, consistent workout program but hate that there’s always someone in better shape than me. I first hired Jimmy after noticing dramatic results in one of his athlete clients and wanting some for myself. Committing to training with Jimmy is one of the best decisions I have made in my adult life. He is a true partner in the experience and working together we have shattered goals I never thought possible. As someone who struggles with working out, and someone who expected to relate better to a female trainer (my last one was female), I was very skeptical when, after stellar recommendations, I finally decided to try a training session with Jimmy. Within five minutes, I was won over, and I’ve remained so for every session thereafter. Jimmy strikes a fantastic balance of making you want to try harder, be better, achieve more, while also being realistic about how difficult of a journey it is! Jimmy encourages without being annoying. He’s funny without wasting your whole session chatting. And somehow he manages to tolerate your (my!) whining, keeping you on target and distracting you long enough until you realize he was right, that you actually could do it! If you want someone to show you how to work out, simply going through the motions, there are plenty of trainers out there. However, if you are looking for someone who wants to guide you through a lifestyle change and new outlook on your physical health that goes way beyond your visits to the gym, then Jimmy is the one for you. As someone who’s always disliked going to the gym—who prefers physical activities that have the side-effect of keeping you in shape while mostly just being fun—Jimmy has been able to keep things fun and challenging since he first started training me in early 2009. I just came from the cardiologist from my 6month check up. I weighed in 6 pounds less that last time I saw him, before starting with you. He is very pleased with my weight loss and increase in fitness – he even said I don’t need to come back for a whole year so that IS progress as he has been a task master RE getting the belly off and checking up on me.  I am wearing one size smaller waist pants now.  Just thought I would pass this on and say thanks for the help. I never believed in personal training, especially since I came for an athletic background, but I noticed I wasn’t making any progress in the gym so I decided to meet with Jimmy right after my wedding.
Let me tell you, Jimmy is more than a trainer; he is a motivator, an innovator, and a person who cares about your success in and out of the gym. He is looking out for your well being all the time and that is something you don’t find in most people in this day and age.
